Ten on Ten August edition

A friend and I planned a little road trip last month!   Got in the car and headed towards central California.  Spent two nights in Cambria, playing tourist!   We also visited Hearst Castle.  Here are some of my favorite photos!    I had visited the castle when I was younger, but found I appreciate it even more now.  Please head towards Shimelle's blog to see more ten on ten posts.  Happy travels!

Siggy Block Exchange

I signed up for an online block exchange awhile back.  The deadline to send the blocks in is August 1st!  I finally got them in the mail today.   I am looking forward to seeing the other participants blocks and where they are from.  I love the quilting community!

Once again it is the tenth of the month.  It is time for

Shimelle's  10 on 10.  Click the link if you would like to have a look at this months participants!  It is always inspiring!   This month I am sharing photos from a Garden Tour I went on.  Normally the tour is 5 to 6 gardens but this year they were celebrating their 20th year so there were 20 gardens!!!!

Halloween Houses

Worked on the house row of the Halloween quilt.  I would really like to complete the quilt before this upcoming Halloween.   It has been a fun quilt, I am really enjoying the colors and patterns in the fabric.

Thank you Jessica Sprague!!!   I signed up for her free class this week in celebrating her fifth year.   There have been speed scraps, blog hops, etc.  Let's just say, a whole lot of fun.  Well thanks to todays lesson, I learned how to make a blog header, yes me the non- tech person.  I am so excited.  Check out her website!
