Bobbins gone wild or why you should not sew when tired!

Yes, I am finally quilting! I guess it had been so long I forgot a few things, like how to wind a bobbin. Yikes I ended up with quite a mess. And when I finally got around to the actual quilting

I didn't realize my practice square had slipped underneath what I was working on and quilted it right to my project!!! Helpful tip - quilt when well rested!

I have been celebrating with my friends over at mousescrappers! There was a one month long party with games and challenges to celebrate their second anniversary. Quite the party!

Weekly Challenge #80

Just completed another challenge over at mousescrappers! I have been frustrated with my internet connection lately. Three visits from the cable company and still not fixed. Oh well the good thing is I have been doing much more around the house because I can't play on the computer

LOL!

Speed Scrap # 51

After missing the last few speed scraps over at Mousescrappers because of work, I was excited to be able to do the one tonight. The pictures in the layout were taken on my December 2010 trip to Disneyland. Chip and Dale were quite entertaining that day dancing in front of the firehouse on Main St!

Scraplift Challenge #5

Once again I squeaked in at the last bit of time for the scraplift challenge at

mousescrappers! I completed this layout when I got off work yesterday. I used a darling Christmas kit by a very talented young lady that I had the pleasure to meet in December. Click on the link to Tanya's blog where you will see some of the most amazing layouts, she is a very creative artist!

Template Challenge #52

After a tiring day at work I decided to do a little scrapping to unwind when I got home. I decided to do Kayla's template challenge at www.mousescrappers.com. Here is the result and yes the journaling is true, the show was so spectacular that I didn't remember to take pictures until the end of the show.

Yes, I do quilt!

My apologies for not posting for such a long time. Life was a little rough for

awhile but I'm back now! Yes my blog is titled quiltingruby, and after posting my digital scrapbooking I thought I should post a quilt in progress! This project was started a little to late for this year, but hoping it will be done by next Valentines Day. It is all ready to be pin basted and machine quilted. It should make a cute little table topper. I got the idea from Kim @ Kim's Big Quilting Adventure.
